The eVisa for Russia is an electronic travel permit provided by the government of the Russian Federation that allows you to visit the Far Eastern Federal District, Kaliningrad Oblast, or Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast. It was promoted with the aim of reducing unnecessary delays at immigration offices avoiding the necessity to provide any other document that proves your trip.
You can fill out our easy online application form and we will take care of the rest so you can receive your eVisa in time before your trip. You will receive your electronic travel permit between 20 and 4 days prior to arrival and it will be connected to your passport. Notice it can take up to 4 days to proceed your eVisa, so we advice you to do it in advance. Besides, we will send you a validated document that we suggest printing out and carrying together with your passport.
Only foreigners holding a passport from any of the eligible countries are able to apply for the eVisa and it will be valid to go in and out from the regions mentioned above. This means, if you apply for the Kaliningrad Oblast you can only enter and leave from the available checkpoint of that area.
The electronic Visa for Russia is only valid for 30 days, allowing you to stay up to 8 days (from the date of your arrival) in the region you want to visit
Requirements for the Russian electronic visaBefore applying for the e-Visa you must prepare the following:
- Valid passport: for at least 6 months from the date of your arrival. It must have been issued by any of the eligible countries and it must contain one free page for the stamps at the border
- Personal photo: An up-to-date personal full-face photo with white background
- Email address: Be sure you introduce a valid email address in which you want to receive your document
- Payment: A valid debit or credit card
Your personal photo must have been taken within six months prior to your arrival. As well as your mouth must be closed and your eyes clearly open and visible.
Every foreigner visiting the Russian Federation is required to hold valid medical insurance for at least the period of the stay. We recommend you to arrange your insurance before travelling to Russia otherwise, you will not be able to apply for it at the Airport nor in the country.
Bear in mind that not every checkpoint at the borders allow you to enter and leave Russia with an eVisa.
